Pickleplex to Open 10 Indoor Pickleball Courts in Kamloops, BC

Kamloops, British Columbia is about to get its first dedicated indoor pickleball facility, as Pickleplex moves to convert a former furniture store on the Trans-Canada Highway in the Valleyview neighbourhood into a 10-court indoor pickleball venue.

The site on Trans-Canada Highway is a former large-format retail space — exactly the kind of commercial square footage that indoor pickleball operators across North America have been targeting as brick-and-mortar retail continues to consolidate. High ceilings, large open floor plans, and ample parking make these spaces well-suited for conversion into indoor pickleball courts, and the economics often work in the operator's favour as retail landlords seek new tenants.

For Kamloops, this is a landmark moment for the local pickleball community.
